Dr Suess idea

If this isn't pushing the boudaries of plagiarism, here's a different idea for the CORE effigy:
Happy New Year! I have a new idea for the CORE effigy: The demand has been to make something non-stressful, cheap, fun, and non-oceanic, but still San Diego oriented. What would you think about building the structure on the cover of "Oh, The Places You'll Go" by Dr. Suess? We can make each level a little higher, iow, a staircase, which can be LED decorated.....maybe segmentally to enable a step/motion-detection ability.
Maybe we can apply sound effects to the motion-detector lights, too? Ex: hear a different Dr Suess quote with each step, hear some cliche burner quotes on some of the steps ("Sit down!"), etc. Maybe we could get Larry Harvey to send us some recorded quotes in his voice. hahaha
I thought about the idea of making the portion that's elevated/erect (on the book cover) either
a) have the ability to flatten and rise on demand (we could do the 'performance' of the flattening and rising Thur before it burns, but we'd probably need more perimeter volunteers)
and/or
b) make a doorway on one side of the erect portion and put a ladder inside so the burner can peek his/her head out of the top of the project.
If we did this project, we wouldn't need a moving van to bring back any pieces of the art, and we can embelish on the staircase style while keeping the colors for distinguishability.
Orrrr---another idea---we keep the bottom portion flat (hence erase the staircase idea on the bottom portion), we can utilize the flat space as a designated territory for small pieces of art that small groups of burners make together. We'd then have the option to
a) make those small effigies all wood so they will be burned as well (which would make for a creative burn),
or
b) make the small effigies with metal and remove them before the burn so we can bring them home to display in San Diego.
This would come in handy in the area of time restriction: if we don't get the tiny effigies done in time, then we'll still have a project that is complete enough to send to BRC.
